In case you missed it…
Google has it’s own browser now: Google Chrome.

Google Chrome has a bit of IE7′s look and feel. It’s blue and most of the traditional menu is gone to make way for content. But that’s where the comparison stops. Google Chrome is fast. BLAZING FAST. Really!
Also, it comes with some nice features for developers, which you don’t have to use if you’re not. Anyhows, they’re there.

As far as I know there are no plugins (add-ons) at the moment, but that’s a matter of time. I’ll be looking for a color picker like the one I’m using in Firefox right now. …and some other non-standard features, which only nerds need and therefore should not be part of the standard browser. Plugins rule(!)

So far it did not crash on me either – which is different from other “first time beta” experiences. Without mentioning names, eh, IE7?! The fact every tab is a process of its own might help to keep crashes from happening. Finally, the installation was as smooth as a baby’s bottom. All settings nicely imported from Firefox (IE is supported too) and off I went!

One feature I like already is the fact that a new tab is opened next to the originating tab. This way your tabs stay organized automatically.
